Formed in Sydney in the mid-80s, Sad Ex weren’t just another band  they were one of the most chaotic, confrontational forces to come out of Australia. At a time when extreme music was still finding its shape, they were already pushing it into something uglier, faster, and way more dangerous.

Their sound raw, violent, and completely unfiltered  helped lay groundwork for what would become war metal, black/death, and the more deranged edges of the underground. But it wasn’t just the music.
It was the attitude. The mythology. The complete refusal to play by anyone’s rules.

Rev. Kriss Hades and ROK built a reputation that still follows them decades later, unpredictable, confrontational, and genuinely unhinged in a way that never felt manufactured. Not industry shock tactics… just pure chaos bleeding into everything they touched.

This isn’t a nostalgia act.
